Plumbing & Underfloor Heating
[DRAFT COPY — for review at Gate 1b]
Plumbing is where the building side of CCC started, and it still runs through every extension, kitchen and bathroom job we do. We also install it as a job on its own.
There are two kinds of underfloor heating. Wet systems run warm water through pipes in the floor and suit a whole extension or a new screeded floor. Electric mats are shallower and usually make more sense under a single bathroom or a small room being retiled.
Either way it changes the floor build-up, so it is decided early. The insulation, the screed depth and the floor finish on top all have to agree with each other, and a stone floor, an engineered board and a vinyl behave differently over a heated slab.
Alongside that we handle heating pipework, radiators, hot-water cylinders, and bathroom and kitchen plumbing — first fix before the floors and walls close up, second fix once the room is built.
Kitchen and bathroom fit-outs are on our Kitchens & Bathrooms page, and underfloor heating in a new extension floor is planned as part of the Extensions work.
